Amanda Gilbert-Largent, Esq.

Partners

Having witnessed the problems caused by poorly executed Estate Plans firsthand, Amanda combines her passion for helping others with her knowledge of the law and her love of family to ensure that her clients achieve the best outcomes.

Born and raised in Daniels, West Virginia, Amanda followed her family vacation route (and her family roots) northeast, attending law school in Massachusetts before settling in Connecticut. She now resides in Southington with her husband, Dexter, and their two daughters, Jacqueline, and Adaline. Aside from spending time with her family, Amanda serves on the board of the Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington, working to make her community a better place for small children from every corner of town.

One of Amanda’s greatest strengths is her ability to listen. She will listen to her client’s story and understand what makes their situation unique, applying the knowledge she has gained to build a custom-tailored Estate Plan for her clients. She believes that each client’s situation is different, and each client deserves a custom Estate Plan built with their specific background, assets, family, and goals in mind. When coupled with her common-sense approach, her clients consistently find her personable and relatable.

An educator at heart, she enjoys explaining her decision-making process to her clients, leaving them feeling informed and knowing that they are making the best decision for their circumstances. She is passionate about continuing education and has been a National Business Institute (NBI) presenter. She continues to teach Adult Education classes on Estate Planning and Probate.

In choosing to focus her practice on Estate Planning and Probate law, Amanda has made a conscious choice to help people as they navigate one of life’s most challenging moments, and plan proactively and thoughtfully for the future – helping clients build their lives and livelihoods rather than tearing them apart. As a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a wife, she relates to many different people from many different situations.

The experience Amanda brings to the table includes stops at three law firms, one in Hartford, one in Southbury, and finally Wiley Etter Doyon, LLC in North Haven. She has had the opportunity to learn the best practices and best solutions at each stop along the way, and now translates her experience into a unique blend of solutions-based Estate Planning tailored to fit the specific needs of each client.
